Our Guamazing Adventure

I'm a lot of things. A mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a Fed, an athlete, a singer-in-the-car-er, a shopper, a cook, a baker, a Gamma Phi Beta, a Master, a lover of shoes, bows, dresses, all accessories, a traveler... a lot of things. And while I would say I'm a happy camper, I'm not sure if that literally translates well for me. I'm a hotel-er. A bed-er. A shower-er. A room service lover. Not so much a camper. However, when several of our friends decided that we should go camping on the beach, my innate "adventurer" quietly told the non-camper to shove it.

We spent last night camping on Tarague beach on Andersen Air Force Base. It was actually awesome. A little hot for my liking, but once the ocean breeze picked up, it was fantastic. Lucy, on the other hand, much like her father, is a totally happy camper. She loved the sand, the beach, and we put her in our tent (obviously) snuggled up in her pack and play, and she slept through the night without issue. I think it was actually good for her little lungs to have a break from the woes of base housing. She is such a great baby! We built a big campfire, made smores, did a throwback to highschool and played a clapping game called Thumper, and of course, blew some serious fire. Such a great time!

Overall, GREAT weekend and as much as I don't want to get up in the 4s tomorrow, (and REALLY don't want to go to work), I am pretty freaking excited that I only have 9 days left in the office!! Happy Labor Day!
