Happy dance!!

I am DONE with papers!!!! Actually not totally, but for the most part - they are written and submitted and now I just have to wait for comments and my opportunity to defend/correct them. YEAH! 76 pages D-O-N-E. I already got comments back from my International Security class and am elated: (!!!!!)

Comments: Excellent, well argued and researched paper. A solid A.

Grade: 740 / 750

Now that I only have one week left in this semester (and then 6 days "spring break" - Chris and I are going to go here - Leo Palace Guam Resort), I get to start thinking about my next round of classes:

NSEC501 Institutions of National Security

INTL636 Regional Threat Analysis

INTL623 Human Intelligence (HUMINT)

NSEC502 Concepts of National Security

Should be exciting!! So although I've been more or less in solitary confinement for the last week writing the days away, we have still managed to have a BLAST. I had a bball game Friday night against Japan (lost), then 2 on Saturday (beat Korea by 15 and, totally bragging, I had 19 points), and then played Japan again, and lost again. So we ended up 2nd in the tournament... not too shabby. Saturday night we went to a St. Patty's day party and then hit up at Mac and Marti's bar in Tumon. Jolene and I might have ended up on stage with the band - her playing the cowbell and me rocking out on the tambourine. Apparently we've been playing too much rockband lately, because we legitimately thought we were a) really good, and b) part of the band. I may have asked them if they wanted me to tour with them. I'm guessing by his full on laughter that he didn't think it was such a fantastic idea, but I'm still waiting by the phone for "the call."

In other news, apparently Chris is gearing up for the PGA tour. The man has played golf every day for the last 5. He's been on PM SAR duty (PM as in night, SAR as in Search & Rescue) which means he can't go into work until 1:30, which means golf in the morning. I considered going with him today, but saved us both the frustration. And, after staying up until 4am the night before writing papers with my good friend Dunkin Donuts coffee, I slept in today.

AND, in more other news - Guam has FINALLY arrived in the world - we got a Hooters AND a Chili's. We haven't been to either, but of course you'll see pictures as soon as we get there.

I'll post pics from the weekend tomorrow - bedtime on this end of the world!

Hey! Thanks for following my blog. I have to admit, the military sent yall someplace far more exotic than us, but since I seem to be living in your home state I guess I can't complain :)

Your grad classes sound fascinating. Oh gosh I wish I could be a career student...Congrats on the good grade!
