A good egg

For my covert operations class final, I am writing a research paper on the development of the US intelligence system. Pretty exciting stuff really, but not horribly surprising that in NINE hours of research yesterday I only wrote 4 pages. Only 76 to go!!!!

Anyhow, the intelligence community as we know it really all started when good ole President Roosevelt created the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the pre-cursor to the CIA. In August of 2008, the National Archives opened some 175,000 personnel files on the OSS's 35,000 employees. As you might remember hearing, Julia Child in her pre-chef career was a SPY! I love it!! Anyhow, in wading through tons and tons of "stuff," I came across her resume. You can't help but laugh at her honesty, and think that she would have been a lot of fun to sit down with and have a cocktail. I bet she had some serious stories!!! From her resume (be sure to read "reason for leaving")
